<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize defective fixation, and to usefully perform temperature control. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section 120 for forming a toner image on a paper fed from a paper feeding section 106 on the basis of input image data; and a fixing unit 109 for thermally fixing the toner image formed on paper in the image forming section 120. In the apparatus, a control section 104 detects the paper type of the stored paper and the temperature of the fixing means, sets a target fixing temperature for each type of the paper fed from the paper feeding section 106, controls the temperature of the fixing unit 109 on the basis of the paper type of the paper fed from the paper feeding section 106 and a temperature difference between the target fixing temperature and the detected temperature, and changes a start position to start the temperature control on the basis of the temperature difference when performing continuous-printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
