PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet rotor for reducing manufacturing cost and preventing malfunction and cogging. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet rotor 1 includes a plurality of permanent magnets 3 arranged in parallel at intervals along the direction of rotation on the outer circumference of a core 2 made of magnetic material and a holder 4 having elasticity mounted on the core 2. The holder 4 has a plurality of holding portions 4a arranged in parallel at intervals along the direction of rotation on the outer circumference of the core 2. The respective permanent magnets 3 are disposed between the respective adjacent holding portions 4a. Each interval of the adjacent holding portions 4a along a rotational direction in a natural state is smaller than each dimension of the permanent magnets 3 along the rotational direction. Elastic force acts due to the elastic deformation of the holding portions 4a, so that the permanent magnets 3 is sandwiched by the adjacent holding portions 4a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
