<p>Provided is a burner which is enabled to have a long lifetime by preventing the breakage or overheat of a discharge ignition wiring line without inviting any rise in the manufacturing cost. An intake pipe (3) for feeding a burner head (4) with the gas in a housing (1) is threaded with a wiring line (8) for connecting a piezoelectric element (7) and a core wire (10) for causing the piezoelectric element (7) to establish a discharge near the flame holes (9) of the burner head (4). The wiring line (8) is not exposed to the outside of the intake pipe (3) so that the burner is not broken at the wiring line (8) when carried. Moreover, the intake pipe (3) is fed with a gas mixture at about the room temperature so that the wiring line (8) is hardly overheated while the burner is being used. As a result, the wiring line (8) needs no protecting shield plate, so that the manufacturing process can be simplified to suppress the rise in the manufacturing cost.</p>
