<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation where a display element cannot be driven by modifying its display position without modifying the size of a drawing included in an image. <P>SOLUTION: When displaying an image of image data IMG having a drawing region DR for using black color pixels for drawing and a blank region BL composed only of white color pixels including no drawing on a display body, a display specifies the blank region BL of the image data IMG shown in (a) to change the position of the drawing region DR within a range of the size, and generates image data IMG-A shown in (b) to display the image. The display sets the position of the drawing region DR of modification destination to, for example, minimize the size of an overlapping region in which the drawing overlaps with the image displayed in advance, and prevents each display element composing a display region of the display body from continuously displaying black as much as possible.
