<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dustpan with a dust storing container that can surely sweep up dust including sand and dirt accumulated in a narrow groove installed in a passage, an automatic door or an elevator of an apartment building or the like and that can perform sweeping/cleaning continuously for a long time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dustpan is provided with a shield plate made narrower than a narrow groove width. Since the dustpan for a narrow groove has a small volume in the dust receiving port, a dust storing container is provided at the rear part. In the storing container, there are installed a mechanism for preventing dust from being discharged reversely to the dust receiving side and also a mechanism for facilitating throwing of the dust in the storing container. A wheel is provided at the lower part of the dustpan for the purpose of reducing fatigue, increasing efficiency, and moving the dustpan.
