<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording system capable of updating write strategy information via a network and recording data in an optical disk on the basis of optimal write strategy information, and an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 21 inquires a server device 4 about whether there is new write strategy information of a version newer than write strategy information 129B stored in a storage part 29. When there is the new write strategy of a new version, the control unit 21 downloads the new write strategy information 42A in the storage area 29B of the storage part 29. After completion of the downloading, the control unit 21 updates the write strategy information 129B to latest information on the basis of the new write strategy information 42A. After the updating, a DVD recorder 2 irradiates an optical disk 100 with a laser beam from a pickup head 2 on the basis of the updated write strategy information to record the data in the optical disk 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
