<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the summing of the value which is based on dot data at a higher speed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A read-out means reads the p-th value from any one of the first total value memory means and the second total value memory means which memorize the values of m pieces. An addition means adds the value which is based on the dot data of p-th train of q-th line in the processing domain of n-th line/m-th train to this read value. A write-in means writes the added value in the p-th of another total value memory means. A line processing for performing these processing m times from the first to m-th one is carried out. A total processing for performing this line processing n times from the first to n-th line is carried out. At this time, the read-out means performs the (p+1)-th processing without waiting for the addition means's adding the p-th read value, and the addition means performs the (p+1)-th processing without waiting for the writing-in means's writing the p-th added value. In the line processing of the odd line, the value concerned is read from the first total value memory means, and then it is written in the second total value memory means. In the line processing of the even line, the value concerned is read from the second total value memory means, and then it is written in the first total value memory means.
