<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent faults in products caused by temperature variations when forming a plurality of optical elements collectively using a plurality of mold sets. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As for each of a plurality of mold sets 20, each of an upper plate portion 6 and a lower plate portion 16 of a plate unit 21 separated by an insulating material 18 is provided with a thermocouple 4 for temperature adjustment of the upper mold, a heater 5 for temperature adjustment of the upper mold, a controller 12 for temperature adjustment of the upper mold, a thermocouple 14 for temperature adjustment of the lower mold, a heater 15 for temperature adjustment of the lower mold and a controller 13 for temperature adjustment of the lower mold in order to adjust the temperature of each mold sets 20 independently. After heating the plurality of mold sets 20 to precisely a desired molding temperature uniformly, by pressurizing at once between the lower base 17 and the upper base 7, a plurality of optical elements with good quality can be formed collectively from a plurality of glass materials 11 filled to the plurality of mold sets 20.
