The invention relates to oral and dental hygiene and cleaning products containing, in relation to the weight thereof, between 0.1 and 10 wt. % of carboxymethylcellulose and between 10 and 60 wt. % of at least one polyvalent alcohol from the group containing sorbite and/or glycerin and/or 1,2-propylene glycol. Said products effectively combat the formation of caries and promote the absorption of fluoride into the tooth enamel and the dentin.
