The repository has an extraction drawer (6) arranged below a repository stack and accessible from an operating front side (4) of a housing (2). A conveying device (5) i.e. conveyor chute, collects drug packages emerging from lower ends of the stack. The device conveys the packages into the drawer. An operator input device is coupled with an electronic control unit. The input device inputs identification of to-be-extracted drug packages. The control unit is configured such that the control unit checks operator inputs for desired drug packages and locks the stack based on the inputs.
