PURPOSE: The liquid crystal display device is provided to control occurrence of display nonuniformity. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes the first substrate(1) and the second substrate(2), and the liquid crystal layer(3). The first substrate and the second substrate have orientation layers(18,19). The process for orientation layers is carried out on the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer is made of the liquid crystal of minus anisotropy. The liquid crystal layer is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate.
