PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that displays the last state of the apparatus when the apparatus is powered OFF owing to abnormality of the apparatus, and then makes a user and a serviceman grasp the abnormal state of the apparatus by reporting it in the case that the apparatus is powered OFF. SOLUTION: When abnormality of the image forming apparatus is detected and the apparatus is powered OFF in a state wherein the abnormality is not removed, information indicating that the abnormality occurs to the image forming apparatus is displayed on electronic paper.
