<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring technique of equipment reducing harmful substances, suitable for a diesel engine mounted on a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The diesel engine monitoring system includes the vehicle 1 provided with a diesel engine system 21 and a diagnostic controller 22, and a computer system which can wirelessly communicate with the vehicle 1. The diesel engine system 21 includes: the diesel engine 31; a post-processing device 36 removing the harmful substances contained in the exhaust discharged from the diesel engine 31; and a NOx sensor 59 detecting NOx concentration at an outlet of the post-processing device 36. The diagnostic controller 22 diagnoses a NOx reduction performance of the diesel engine system 21 from a load of the diesel engine 31 and the NOx concentration detected by the NOx sensor 59, generates system diagnostic data, and sends the system diagnostic data to the computer system by wireless communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
