<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem that a multilayer optical recording medium having three or more recording layers requires the accurate control of layer intervals for each recording layer since there is an influence of crosstalk caused by multiple reflection from a plurality of the recording layers. <P>SOLUTION: A reflectance ratio from the backside of each recording layer is set to be lower than that from the front surface. The influence of multiple reflection is reduced without applying a highly precise layer interval control technology.
