PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: if the periphery of a nozzle plate is bent and fixed by a pressure plate, a structure becomes complicated, then, it becomes difficult for a box type three-dimensional nozzle protective member to secure component accuracy thereof. SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head includes: the flexible nozzle plate 2 with a plurality of nozzles 1 for ejecting liquid droplets formed thereon; a flow path member 3 for forming flow paths for the communication of the nozzles 1; and a frame member 4 for supporting the nozzle plate 2 and the flow path member 3. Projecting portions 10 are formed on four sides around the nozzle plate 2, and the projecting portions 10 formed on the nozzle plate 2 are inserted into the slit-like openings 12 formed in four positions around the surface outer peripheral part of the frame member 4.
