PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of achieving improvement of the degree of freedom in internal layout and miniaturization even when it is provided with an interlock switch. SOLUTION: The projector 1 includes a light source device 31, a power supply device 5 which supplies power supplied from the outside through a power supply connector 10 to the light source device 31, and an external case 2 inside which the light source device 31 and the power supply device 5 are housed. An opening part for replacement is formed at a position corresponding to a disposed position of the light source device 31 on the external case 2, and a cover for covering the opening part for replacement is attachably/detachably provided on the external case 2. The interlock switch 6 connected between the power supply connector 10 and the power supply device 5 through a cable and allowing or interrupting power supply to the power supply device 5 from the power supply connector 10 interlocked with the attachment/detachment of the cover is disposed on a light emission rear side of a reflector 3112 constituting the light source device 31.
