PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting receiving apparatus capable of performing channel setup fitted to a current position promptly in impaired receive state. SOLUTION: A control unit 14 specifies a broadcasting area at the current position based on location information of a mobile terminal unit, and the specified broadcasting area is stored in a memory A15. A DTV control unit 23 measures a receive level of the broadcasting and compares the receive level with a predetermined threshold. When the receive level is smaller than the threshold, the DTV control unit 23 obtains frequency setting information, which in turn corresponds to the broadcasting area memorized in the memory A15, from a DTV memory unit B in which the broadcasting area and the frequency setting are memorized in matched state, and stores it in the DTV memory unit C that memorizes the frequency setting in the case of broadcast receive.
