PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler manufacturable at low cost, by integrally forming the muffling structure thereof and standardize the basic structure. SOLUTION: This muffler includes a tubular case 21, an internal structure 50 installed in the case 21 and muffling a gas, an inlet hole 31a for introducing the gas into the case 21, and an outlet hole 32a for discharging the gas from the case 21. In the internal structure 50, the case 21 is divided into two or more chambers 55 by a partition part 52 substantially in parallel with the tube direction. At least two of the chambers 55 communicate with each other, through a communication hole 54 formed in the partition part 52, and the specified gap is formed between the case 21 and the internal structure 50.
