PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a plastic molding for forming it by narrowing an interval between column portions in a columnar structure, and to provide a manufacturing method for an electric field applying cell. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the plastic molding comprises a fluid supply process for filling the electric field applying cell provided with a pair of electrodes arranged by opposing each other with at least two kinds of fluids being insoluble in each other and having different dielectric constants, respectively, to form layers and an electric field applying process for collecting the fluid having a higher dielectric constant out of at least two kinds of fluids to extend in the direction parallel with the direction of an electric field by applying the electric field between the electrodes to form a columnar structure. At least one fluid between two kinds of fluids is a hardening resin which is not yet hardened, and this hardening resin is hardened after forming the columnar structure to manufacture the plastic molding in this method. An electrode substrate 11 on at least one side among opposing electrode substrates 11, 12 constituting the electric field applying cell 10 is provided with a minute electrode array 1 and a thin film transistor (TFT) array 3 to apply the electric field to the electrode in a part of the minute electrode array partially.
