The invention relates to a drive apparatus for motor vehicles, with an internal combustion engine whose power output shaft by way of a flywheel with an integrated torsional vibration damper and by way of a separating clutch drives the change-speed gearbox of the motor vehicle, the separating clutch with the secondary mass of the torsional vibration damper being pivoted on the input shaft of the transmission and the hub section of the separating clutch being supported directly or indirectly on the power output shaft in the axial direction. To prevent internal distortions and possibly wobble motions of the separating clutch, it is proposed that radially extending contact surfaces be made directly or indirectly spherical between the power output shaft and the hub section.
