PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an automatic feeding device capable of preventing co-feeding of other recording materials separated by a separation means without practically applying back tension when a fed recording material is carried by a carrying device. SOLUTION: The detection arm part 752 of an oscillation body 75 is pressed on a tip of recording paper P1 fed to the feeding direction C, so that the oscillation body 75 becomes an oscillated state to an oscillation direction indicated by a symbol E. Along with this, a lock wall part 753 of the oscillation body 75 advances to a feeding route 77. The position to which the lock wall part 753 of the oscillation body 75 advances is the feeding route 77 on the upstream side of the feeding direction C from a position where the fed recording paper P1 is engaged with the detection arm part 752 and on the downstream side of the feeding direction C from a separation position by a separation slant face 762 of a separation lever 76. A tip of other recording paper P2 abuts on the lock wall part 753 advancing to the feeding route 77 and is locked, so that the movement of the other recording paper P2 is regulated.
