<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an area that exceeds the range of a subject image obtained by the imaging of a subject and to move an area of interest to a location where it is easy to view. <P>SOLUTION: A map image creation unit 13 creates a map image that is a reduction of a global image comprising a subject image, i.e., the subject of image processing, and a margin image surrounding the overall periphery of the subject image. A view area designation unit 14 designates a view area of interest in the map image by means of a range-designating figure. An image-of-interest creation unit 15 creates a partial image of an area corresponding to the view area of the map image in the global image as an image of interest. A display device 20 displays, in different positions on a screen, a map image display window W1 for displaying the map image and an area-of-interest display window W2 for displaying the image of interest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
