NEW CONJUGATE AND CORTISOL ANALYZING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique capable of performing the rapid quantitative analysis of cortisol in saliva and capable of miniaturizing an apparatus for performing analysis.

SOLUTION: (1) A conjugate is disclosed to which cortisol and oxidoreductase are connected through a linker having a specific structure. (2) In a cortisol analyzing method, cortisol in a liquid sample is analyzed by using enzyme immunoassay based on the competitive reaction of cortisol in the liquid sample and the conjugate. (3) A kit is constituted so that the conjugate pad and a detection part to which the antibody of cortisol is preliminarily fixed are formed on a substrate to move cortisol and the conjugate to the detection part from the conjugate pad by a capillary phenomenon and to be subjected to competitive reaction along with the antibody of cortisol in the detection part. (4) An apparatus is disclosed for electrochemically measuring the results of the competitive reaction performed in the kit from an acting electrode and a counter electrode.
