PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, preventing an interference of a foundation leg and a front plate lower end in demounting a right front plate, even when a width dimension of the outdoor unit is enlarged while keeping a pitch of the foundation legs constant by renewing the outdoor unit. SOLUTION: In this outdoor unit 2, a second front plate 24 of a casing 20 is positioned above the foundation legs 98. A cut 241 and a non-cut portion 242 are formed on a lower end of the second front plate 24 opposed to the foundation legs 98, and the cut 241 has a width dimension larger than that of the foundation legs 98. A cut boundary 243 between the cut 241 and the non-cut portion 242 is formed into the stepwise shape so that an area of the non-cut portion 242 is narrowed in the direction close to the lower end.
