PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of preventing the entry of dropper articles from a doorway through which main rope comes and goes at least upwardly from a suspension sheave, regardless of size. SOLUTION: The elevator device wherein the main rope is wound around a hoisting machine positioned in a hoistway of an elevator or the suspension sheave rotatably journaled to a frame body, is provided with a removing device disposed near the doorway to the suspension sheave of the main rope and covering a triangular zone formed by the main rope and the suspension sheave from dropped articles from an upper side.
