<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound-curing promoter and a wound-masking material exhibiting a sufficient wound-curing effect by external use on affected parts even for diabetics and also safe even after long-term use. <P>SOLUTION: The composition having a wound-curing promotive effect contains, as the active ingredient(s), an extract obtained by pulverizing Sparassis crispa's carpophore and/or mycelia followed by subjecting the resultant powder to hot water and an alkali, or an enzyme, preferably, in addition, a β-glucan-containing fraction obtained by ethanol precipitation.
