<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a solid-state image pickup device which has the effect of preventing image deterioration caused by driving actuator, drives the actuator even during image signal output and achieves downsizing at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: A driver-control unit 61 of a solid-state image pickup device 21 controls the operation timing of a pulse-driven actuator driver 31 based on the read timing of a sensor of a pixel unit 41, namely, of a reader circuit 42. Namely, the solid-state image pickup device 21 packages therein the actuator driver 31 and can synchronize the operation timing of the actuator driver 31 with the sensor read timing.
