An image processing device includes: first image enlarging means (2A) which outputs a first enlarged image (D2A) obtained by enlarging an input image (Din); a high-frequency component image generation means (1) which generates a first high-frequency component image (D1) obtained by extracting a high-frequency component from the input image (Din); second image enlarging means (2B) which outputs a second enlarged image (D2B) obtained by enlarging the first high-frequency component image (D1); a high-frequency component image processing means (3) which generates a second high-frequency component image (D3) obtained by processing the second enlarged image (D2B); and means (4) which adds the first enlarged image (D2A) and the second high-frequency component image (D3) and outputs the addition result. Thus, it is possible to supply a sufficient high-frequency component to the enlarged image and to provide a high resolution feeling in the enlarged image.
