The invention relates to a facility for concentrating cosmic radiation from a celestial object, equipped with: a concentrating optical surface capable of reflecting incident cosmic radiation onto a target surface O'X'Y', and likely to present local errors in the surface, pointing and orientation; a reflective optical surface control system; - means for capturing images from the optical surface from various viewpoints M'mn (x'mn, y'mn) located on the target surface, m varying from 1 to M, and n varying from 1 to N, in such a way as to obtain M x N images of the optical surface illuminated by the cosmic radiation, having M viewpoints along X' and N viewpoints along Y', with M > 1, N > 1, and M.N ≥ 30; and a processing unit for the M.N captured images suitable for: o calculating the gradients δΔ(P)/δx and δΔ(P)/δy for each point P(x,y) of the reflective optical surface in accordance with: (formula I) L(M'mn, P) being the luminance at an image point corresponding to point P(x,y) on the reflecting optical surface (2) observed from the viewpoint M'mn, ε0 being the apparent angle of incidence from the celestial object, gx and gy being predetermined coefficients, and o determining from these gradients, δΔ(P)/δx et δΔ(P)/δy, a local surface error ΔP(x,y) at the point P(x,y) on the reflecting optical surface (2).
