Provided is a switch mechanism wherein durability of a switch button is improved, operational feeling is also improved and constitution and assembly are simplified. A switch mechanism (1) is provided with a wiring board (5) having a first electrode (6) and a second electrode (7); a switch button (10); a conductor (4) arranged at a position that corresponds to the first electrode and the second electrode; and a supporting plate (2), which is arranged such that the conductor is disposed between the wiring board and the supporting plate and is provided with a protruding section (2a) at a position that corresponds to the switch button. In a state where the switch button is not depressed, the conductor is brought into contact only with the second electrode without being brought into contact with the first electrode. In a state where the switch button is depressed, the conductor is brought into contact with the first electrode by being supported by the protruding section, the first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected by the conductor, and the protruding section is displaced in the direction where the switch button is depressed, with depressing of the switch button.
