PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-transmitting member provided with a reflection prevention function and having sufficiently high hardness to secure resistance to flaws and provide a timepiece and a method for manufacturing the light-transmitting member. SOLUTION: The light-transmitting member 1 includes a light-transmitting substrate 10. At least ions selected from among F, H, B, Si, and C are injected in an inorganic film 13 having a reflection prevention function, and the inorganic film 13 is formed in the uppermost surface of the substrate 10. The concentration of the ions in the inorganic film 13 is maximum at an uppermost layer part 111 of the inorganic film 13 and is gradually reduced toward the inside of the inorganic film 13 from the uppermost layer part 111.
