PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method of a resin molded article capable of preventing a decrease in appearance quality of the resin molded article by preventing occurrence of peeling or floating of a preformed coating film. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the resin molded article comprises applying a mold release agent on a first mold and a second mold (step S11), arranging a masking jig on the mating surface in the first mold (step S12), forming a coating film on the shaping surface of the first mold and forming a protruding portion connected with the coating film and protruding from the shaping surface on the mating surface (step S13), removing the masking jig (step S14), clamping the first mold and the second mold, and pinching the protruding portion of a paint on the mating surface (step S15), casting a molten resin material into a cavity in this state (step S16), opening the shaping molds (step S17), and taking out the resin molded article (step S18).
