PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter that accurately supplies a proper amount of seedlings (number of seedlings) to a seedling output port and plants seedlings in a proper amount of seedlings on a field regardless of operation conditions etc. SOLUTION: In the seedling transplanter including a seedling receiving frame 81 for receiving the end parts of seedlings, the seedling output port 78 attached to the seedling receiving frame 81, a seedling stand 80 which is horizontally moved along the seedling receiving frame 81 on the upper side of the seedling receiving frame 81 and supplies seedlings to the seedling output port 78, a seedling transport device 79 which transports seedlings on the seedling stand 80 to the seedling receiving frame 81 side at the horizontal transport end of the seedling stand 80, a seedling transport amount change device 135 for changing the transport amount of seedling by the seedling transport device 79 and a seedling planting device for planting seedlings supplied to the seedling output port 78, the seedling transplanter is equipped with a seedling amount sensor 140 for determining the amount of seedlings on the seedling stand 80 and a seedling transport amount controller for controlling the seedling transport amount change device 135 so as to lessen the seedling transport amount of the seedling transport device 79 when the amount of seedlings on the seedling stand 80 is large based on the detection of the seedling amount sensor 140.
