PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, permanently restraining jamming of slime. SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes a heat exchanger 5, a drain pan 7 for receiving drain water generated in the heat exchanger 5, and a drain pump 71 for pumping out drain water accumulated in the drain pan 7 to the outside, wherein a laying member 80 having a wall part 83 surrounding the periphery of a suction port 71A of the drain pump 71 is disposed in the drain pan 7, and the wall part 83 is formed like a mesh.
