PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device whose noise characteristics can be enhanced by reducing EMI. SOLUTION: The motor drive device 1 includes a logic circuit x1 that carries out excitation phase switching control on a stepping motor, by varying the output logic of each of OUTxA and OUTxB, according to the input logic of each of INxA and INxB inputted in pair. The logic circuit x1 carries out excitation phase switching control on the stepping motor, in correspondence with both a full-step driving method and with a half-step driving method, by implementing, wherein when the input logic of INxA and that of INxB are reverse to each other, the output logic of OUTxA and that of OUTxB are also made reverse to each other; and when the input logic of INxA and that of INxB are identical to each other, both the OUTxA and OUTxB are made open.
