METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DUODENOGASTRAL REFLUX

A method for diagnosing duodenogastral reflux provides for assaying bilirubin in the gastric content in a volume of 2.0 mL with the aid of photoelectrocolorimeter. The gastric content is centrifuged at 4500 rpm for 5 minutes. To the centrifugate, 1 mL of 3 % hydrogen peroxide solution is added and the mixture is heated on the water bath for 2 minutes. The extinction of the solution is measured in photoelectrocolorimeter with 2 mL of 0.1 M HCl and 1 mL of 3 % hydrogen peroxide solution as a blank at= 364 nm in a cell with the length of the optical pass of 0.3 cm.
