<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document feeding device in a novel configuration which prevents document discharge performance from being reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A document feeding device comprises: a discharge mechanism for switching between a first discharge mode for successively stacking a document M2 on documents M on a document discharge tray 20 and a second discharge mode for successively discharging each document M2 under the documents M in the document discharge tray 20, by relatively moving a nipping position of a pair of discharge rollers (switch-back roller 50 and pinch roller 51) and an upstream end position of the document discharge tray 20 in a vertical feeding direction; a pressing member 70 for pressing, from the upside, the document M discharged into the document discharge tray 20 in the first discharge mode; and a retract mechanism (projection/retraction member 80 or the like) for swinging the pressing member 70 upward in the second discharge mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
