PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit loss caused by slip of an endless belt in a thermal engine. SOLUTION: Longitudinal section shape of the endless belt 4 formed in a "zig-zag" shape and a recessed and projecting structure, thereby, is provided on an inner circumference surface of the endless belt 4. A plurality of wedge shape or gear tooth shape projections 2a are provided on an outer circumference surface of a pulley 2 at a constant angular interval. Consequently, a recessed and projecting structure complementary with the shape of the inner circumference surface of the endless belt 4 is provided. Since slip between a rotor (pulley 2) and the endless belt 4 is inhibited by meshing of mutually complementary recessed and projecting structures, loss caused by slippage can be inhibited.
