An actifungal composition containing essential oil from Ligusticum chuanxiong is provided to ensure the effects in treating tinea infection, tinea peids, and tinea and hve antigungal effect in low concentration when using the composition with ketoconazole or itraconazole. An antifungal composition to Trichophyton sp. comprises essential oil from Ligusticum chuanxiong as an active ingredient. The antifungal composition contains ketoconazole or itraconazole as an active ingredient. The essential oil from Ligusticum chuanxiong is ligustilde or butylidene phthalide.
