A method, device and system for measuring the network performance between overlay network nodes are provided. The method includes: finding the source network nodes (207,208) corresponding to overlay source nodes and the target network nodes (209,210) corresponding to overlay target nodes, respectively; finding the centralized nodes (211,212) corresponding to the source network nodes (207,208) and the target network nodes (209,210), respectively; measuring the network performance between the source network nodes (207,208) and the corresponding centralized nodes (211), the network performance between two centralized nodes(211,212), and then the network performance between the target network nodes(209,210) and the corresponding centralized nodes(212) section by section, finally calculating the network performance between overlay nodes according to the above results.
