A liquid crystal display device is provided to combine an inverter to locate a transformer at a location having the same distance from right and left ends of lamps in a concave space of a bottom cover, thereby largely reducing the entire thickness of a product. An inverter is connected in a rear side of a bottom cover(114). The inverter comprises a transformer and a plurality of passive devices. The inverter generates a lamp driving signal for driving lamps(120). A concave space(115) is formed in parallel with the lamps in a long side of a lower end side of the rear side of the bottom cover. The inverter is combined correspondingly to the concave space. The transformer is located in the concave space while maintaining the same distance from right and left ends of the lamps.
