A part positioning device (41), comprising support pins (48) supporting a magnetic tape recording/reproducing device (1), a measuring device (51) measuring the height and the inclination of the upper end face (3a) of the reel (3) of the recording/reproducing device (1), and rotating operation devices (54) rotating adjusting screws (7) for adjusting the height and the inclination of the reel (3). Each of the rotating operation devices (54) comprises an engagement part (55) vertically engageable with and disengageable from an engaged groove (8) formed in an adjusting screw (7), a rotating operation part (57) rotated by manual operation, and a flexible rotation transmitting shaft (59) transmitting the rotation of the rotating operation part (57) to the engagement part (55). The engagement part (55) is disposed under the adjusting screw (7) so as to face each other and vertically moved relative to the engaged groove (8) by manually pushing and pulling the rotating operation part (57) in forward and backward directions C and D. The rotating operation part (57) is disposed at the front of the device where a worker operates the device.
