PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor mounting structure which enables fixing of a sensor to the inside of a housing by a simple structure, without increasing the number of parts, and provide a flame sensing device. SOLUTION: The sensor mounting structure includes the sensor 100 having a contact section 105, a cable 120 to be drawn out from an end part 103a of the sensor 100, and the housing 20 which houses and protects the sensor 100 from an external atmosphere and includes a positioning section 46 to be thrusted to the contact section 105. Moreover, this cable 120 includes an elastic section 120c, and this elastic section 120c exerts elastic force for thrusting the contact section 105 to the positioning section 46.
