Disclosed are a cooling structure and a method for a control rod drive device, and an atomic reactor, in which an intake section (102) for introducing cooling air into a housing (59) which is secured to the upper part of a reactor vessel (41) and houses a magnetic jack, a first exhaust duct (104) which is juxtaposed to the intake section (102) in the circumferential direction of the housing (59) and sucks cooling air in the housing (59) from a first lower inlet (109) and guides the cooling air upward, a second exhaust duct (105) which is disposed below the intake section (102) and sucks cooling air in the housing (59) from a second inlet (110) and guides the cooling air to the first exhaust duct (104), and an exhaust section (111) which is provided at the upper part of the housing (59) and discharges cooling air in the first exhaust duct (104) are provided.
