PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of effectively utilizing the space of a room where the apparatus is installed, and preventing a processing device from becoming an obstacle. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: an operating device 2 for allowing an operator to input an instruction; an image display device 6 for displaying an ultrasonic image; and the processing device 7 for generating the ultrasonic image, based on a reception signal to be obtained by transmitting ultrasonic wave to control to display the image on the image display device 6. The operating device 2 and the processing device 7 are formed separately. The processing device 7 is arranged on the opposite side of the operating device 2 across a bed B where a subject is placed, and is also arranged on a base platform 15 to be disposed on a floor surface, so as to be freely movable via a cable storage device 5.
