<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer integrated backlight illumination assembly for LCD display. <P>SOLUTION: The multilayer integrated backlight illumination assembly includes a substrate providing the assembly with a structural and functional support, a lower reflector fitted on the substrate, and a plurality of solid light sources for providing point light sources fitted inside openings of the lower reflector. The assembly further includes a plurality of primary light films equipped with light-direction conversion areas fitted among the plurality of solid light sources for changing directions of and expanding the point light sources into a uniform plane of light, a plurality of secondary light films equipped with light-direction conversion areas fitted among the plurality of solid light sources for changing directions of and expanding the point light sources into a uniform plane of light, and a coupling means for coupling together the primary light films and the secondary light films. Moreover, it includes an upper diffuser for diffusing the uniform face of light, and the plurality of light films have a thickness of 0.1 to 1.0 mm and a flexural rigidity of 50 to 1,200 mm newton each. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
