PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data removal control system for preventing information leak or virus infection through a personal medium. SOLUTION: A management server includes: a database in which medium identification information unique to each of media distributed in advance from a manager to users is registered in association with user identification information; and a first means which performs user authentication when a client logs in on the basis of the user identification information registered in the database, and transmits, when the user authentication is successful, medium identification information registered in the database and associated with this user identification information to the client. The client includes a second means which detects medium identification information from a medium connected to the client, and permits the medium to be written only when the detected medium identification information is included in the medium identification information received from the management server.
