PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify circuit configuration and signal processing that are required for reducing effect on accuracy due to variation of a plurality of pressure-sensitive elements. SOLUTION: A pulse wave measuring apparatus to measure a pulse waveform based on a detection signal of a pressure-sensitive element array that is composed of the arranged plurality of pressure-sensitive elements includes a pulse wave period detection means to detect a pulse wave period from time-series data of the detection signal and a waveform determination means to determine a waveform pattern of the pulse wave from the time-series data of the detection signal. By determining whether the pulse waveform is detected at each pressure-sensitive element or not, and characteristics of the detected pulse waveform, it is allowed to determine that the pressure-sensitive element is good at detecting the pulse waveform or not, and to classify the pressure-sensitive elements depending on the type of the pulse waveform.
