A sheet document processor is disclosed. The processor comprises a vertical transport {100) which receives notes from a separate sheet feeding unit, a bi- directional horizontal transport (200) located above the vertical transport which receives the notes conveyed by the vertical transport, a pair of diverters (300, 400) which can divert notes from the horizontal transport, a reject cassette (500) for receiving notes diverted from the horizontal transport, and a document buπdler (600) which receives notes from the horizontal transport and stacks them into a bundle. The bundled notes can then be presented to a user at one of two output locations.
