PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball entry device for game machines and a game machine contributing to the improvement of a space efficiency in a playfield by miniaturization, facilitating the adjustment of a ball entry rate with respect to an entry opening of the ball falling the playfield by preventing an unforeseen entry of the ball and easily reflecting a design intention with respect to the ball entry rate, while reducing the number of components and the cost. SOLUTION: A second start winning device 11 includes: a second start pocket 16 for entering a ball 23 falling the playfield defined in a game board face 6a; and a lower tongue member 18 disposed adjacent thereto, wherein the second start pocket 16 is formed on a base plate 17, the base plate 17 is disposed to project forward from the game board 6, and a scoop face 17d for guiding the ball 23 forward is formed above the second start pocket 16.
